Hello everyone. Its Monday and I am here again, with what I believe to be yet another great book, from the only and Only. Nora Roberts.
The more I read about her, the more it feeds my new found addiction of her books. Something that I think is good considering the fact that she has a great many of them published. There are series, single stories and I plan to devour each and every one of them.
The first step is to admit it. Right? I am a Noraholic.
There, I said it.
So with that said. I'll go ahead and dive into why I think this books is so great.
Divine Evil
kept me on my toes for its entire duration. All the time its giving you new information, about the characters, the relationships and the cult. I love that. I know I am probably repeating myself when it comes to this author. But her process seem to work- at least on me- and I find it mesmerizing. You can always empathize with the main characters. They always have one trace or piece of themselves that you can't help but share with them or understand. I keep loving the descriptions. They are long, yes, but they paint a wonderful picture and are by no mean tiresome. You can get into the head of every character, and even tough they are written by the same person, each and every one of them has a different voice that you can easily differentiate.
This novel is dark, mysterious and full of the unknowns. Based in a small town where nothing is like it seems and no one can be trusted. Were people get what they want no matter the consequences of their actions. Just because they can they do it, and its their believes that HE will serve them. By HE I mean the Devil. Yes I know.
Not what I expected either.
I have to say, I love the ending!
I don't want to spoil it for you, but when those few lines passed my mouth was hanging open and like always I kept going trough it like there was something else in there. I am sad tough, because I tough there was going to be a Prologue on the main characters. So this I do warn you about. There is not.
How ever there is enough in the pages prior to the ending to give you a great idea of what the main characters would do after all the conflict had passed and was resolved. So I guess is for you to make your own ending in that part. Living up to the readers imagination. I like that too.
